Keep it a show, not a habit

Why a free show still says 19+

Social casino games borrow the look, sound and pace of real gambling. Velvet Puppet Theatre is meant only for adults over the legal gambling age and is not aimed at anyone under 19. You confirm your age twice: first on the banner that meets you on arrival, then with a tick when you open your account.

Never on this stage

• Staging or promoting real-money gambling.
• Handing prizes of real-world value across the footlights.
• Opening a box office for coins or adding in-app purchases.
• Sending you off stage to gambling operators or their affiliates.
• Calling you back to the stage with countdowns or streaks.

A word from the wings

A free show can be set up to feel generous, and it tops your balance up at no cost. Real-money games do neither of those things. A good run here tells you nothing about how you would fare with money on the line.

Cues to watch for

• Sitting through act after act long past your planned exit.
• Snapping at people when the curtain comes down.
• Using the shows to hide from a mood.
• Sleep, work or people are losing time to it.
• You start looking for a real-money version of the show.

Holding the strings yourself

• Settle on a running time before the first spin.
• Work the strings yourself: leave autoplay off.
• Take an interval now and then.
• Clearing this site’s data strikes the whole set; to close the run for good, block the site in your device settings.
